Jay Baruchel is a Canadian actor, director, screenwriter, and comedian who’s best known for his voice role as Hiccup in the hit film franchise How to Train Your Dragon. Baruchel, who landed one of his first major acting roles in the TV series My Hometown in 1996, has also made notable portrayals on various comedy movies including Tropic Thunder, Knocked Up, Fanboys, She’s Out of My League, Goon, This Is the End, and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
With his natural wits and humor, he has also landed a few major acting roles on various comedy TV series including Man Seeking Woman wherein he played the protagonist character as Josh Greenberg and in Judd Apatow’s comedy series Undeclared wherein he played the lead role as Steven Karp. In addition to Baruchel’s filmography, he had also portrayed two supporting characters in the Canadian comedy series The Drunk and On Drugs Happy Fun Time Hour.
